Bermondsey Bonanza

  • Tue 11 September 2018
    11am-c.1pm
  • Meet at Bermondsey Underground Station (Jubilee Line) at 10.50am
  • Leader: Andrew Davies

We start with the creation of a garden city pioneered by Dr Alfred Salter and then stand on the spot where Turner painted ‘The Fighting Temeraire’. Next, arguably the finest riverside views on London, followed by converted flour mills, the River Neckinger, old warehouses in Shad Thames, and the former Courage brewery. And the first railway line in London…..
